What is energy healing?

Though there is quite a bit of variety among modern energy healing systems, all systems share a few things in common. Energy healing is based on a few central principles.
  1. Everything is energy.
  2. Energy flows where attention goes. (Or "energy follows thought.")
  3. Energy/attention can be directed to initiate natural healing.
I have learned various forms of energy healing over the years, but I currently use dowsing and Usui Reiki the most. When appropriate, I also incorporate the Elenari system in my work.

Usui Reiki

Reiki is a natural system of energy healing that was re-discovered in Japan by Mikao Usui. It is one of the most popular methods of energy healing available today. It is estimated that millions of people in the United States use Reiki every year. As of 2014 over 60 hospitals in the U.S. offered Reiki and it remains common on college and university campuses. The number of Reiki Practitioners and clients in the U.S. is only increasing with each passing year.

As an energy healing modality, Reiki's benefits are numerous. The Center for Reiki Research has been established to evaluate the scientific evidence for Reiki's numerous benefits. A quick PubMed search reveals thousands of published studies citing Reiki.

I am a traditional Usui Reiki Master and teach Reiki I and II classes. Email me for information about upcoming classes: chris [ at ] protonmail [dot] com.

Dowsing

Dowsing is a very flexible energy practice that is available to anyone. There are several ways to practice dowsing, including dowsing rods (common for finding water veins under the Earth's surface), "bobbers," and pendulums. Many folks (me included) prefer to work with pendulums. Pendulum charts can be used to get more specific readings, but this is not required. "The sky is truly the limit" when it comes to dowsing. I use dowsing regularly. For more information visit the American Society of Dowsers or Raymon Grace's website.
